"Where Can I Find Someone to Manage My Social Media Account?"

Nicole Little • May 25, 2024

I'm feeling somewhere in between Eleanor Roosevelt and Alexis Rose right now after realizing that my client gets 51 appointment requests per month on average from organic social media posts alone. ๐Ÿซ ๐Ÿ˜

"For my own success to be real, it must contribute to the success of others." - E.R.

If you're asking yourself,

1.  "Can I grow my business with social media?"

2.  "Can I pay someone to run my social media account?"

3.  Or "Where can I find someone to manage my social media account?"

I can't wait to be the bearer of great news.

Let's dig in:

1.  "Can I grow my business with social media?"

After interviewing across a wide array of industries, researches also found that:

I want you to listen to me now and listen well: social media sells.

Not only does it sell, but it can greatly improve your brand reputation and your employee morale:

I recently designed a brand (or visual identity system) and a website for a preschool in North Little Rock. This school has existed for over thirty years and held the ground as one of the top preschools in Central Arkansas based on quality of care, social skills building, and education.

Online however, for parents who had never heard of the school before, they only had 2 (blurry) images of the school on a Google Business Profile and a link to a lightly used Facebook page.

If I were researching schools to send my child, I wouldn't have sent them there based on that alone.

But after the brand and website were completed, we rolled out a launch on social media to announce the new changes, and in the first month they had over 450 website users, 8 new student applications and 2 new hire applications.

Teachers and parents both reported feeling "so proud to be a part of the Teachers' Pet Family."

That initial influx of website visitors would not have happened without Facebook, and having such a strong start after publishing the site greatly increased their organic SEO, as well.

That's why I offer three services: Branding, Web Design, and Social Media Management.

Every business is different and will naturally have different needs regarding these three strategies, but after having worked with 100+ businesses nationwide on these three services, I believe with my whole heart that they can and will grow your business significantly.

2.  "Can I pay someone to run my social media account?"

Of course you can! A better question is, should you?

On my SMM service page, I list out a few reasons why you should or shouldn't hire a social media manager:

You shouldn't hire a social media expert if you

  • Don't have the capacity for more clients
  • Don't have a functional intake process
  • Want to do it yourself
  • Care more about going viral than making sales
  • Are actually just looking for free tips to do it yourself
  • Don't feel comfortable sharing your business online

You should, however, hire a social media manager if you

  • Have the capacity for more clients
  • Want to improve your online reputation
  • Want to reach new and wider audiences
  • Want to create opportunity for more sales
  • Want to engage clients in a longer term relationship
  • And don't want to handle the strategy and design yourself

Click here to calculate (or estimate) your Social Media Management's ROI.

You can also use this to estimate your future growth. For example:

If you reach 1,000 accounts per month, 230 post reactions (likes, comments, and shares), 50 link clicks, 6 website form fills, and 2 new confirmed clients on average, you can safely assume that for every new client, you need to reach at least 500 accounts with your current social media strategy.

That means in time, as you grow organically, you will increase the number of clients you earn monthly. It also means that with a social media advertising budget, you could expand that reach and earn more clients even faster.

(P.S. Did you know that $100 on Facebook can offer you the attention of roughly 7,900 accounts?)๏ปฟ

3. Where can I find someone to manage my social media account?

...but really. ๐Ÿ˜‚

You have 4 options really as a business owner regarding social media:

  1. Ignore social media altogether
  2. Try the DIY method
  3. Hire on a full or part-time team member
  4. Or work with an outside professional

The only other method is to try and use Ai to run your social media for you, but for so many reasons I really don't recommend it.

Each of these methods has its pros and cons depending on your current business model regarding time, research, effort, and resources.

  1. Ignoring the opportunity on social media will cause the most harm to you financially, though. Even a start up page with photos of your team, business and clients is better than nothing. (71% of online users are more likely to make purchasing decisions based on reviews on social media.)

  2. The DIY method will save you money, but take up a lot of your time. If you're a skilled photographer and copywriter, this method may be okay, but otherwise you run the risk of causing more harm than good to your reputation.

  3. Most businesses in Arkansas hire a part or full-time team member to run their social medias for them, but keep in mind that the base salary in Arkansas for an SMM is a little over $30,000 per year (not including the cost of analytic or scheduling platforms and advertising costs).

  4. Working with an outside professional is both cost effective and strategic, running typically between $4,800-$12,000 per year. (Before you panic, consider that the average ROI of a Social Media Manager is 95-150%).

If you're ready for a done-for-you, collaborative social media strategy: don't wait to reach out!

Can you hear that dream vacation spot calling your name?... ๐Ÿ๏ธ๐Ÿฅ‚

My spots are limited, but I work hard to make it worth it for you:

For clients within driving reach, I offer a free brand photoshoot (with the talented Kalen Kemp) in the first month of service.  High quality photos go a long way in making a subconscious impact on your online community.

I also offer email newsletters as a part of my social media management service, because for every 500 followers you may only reach 100 organically, but for 500 email contacts you can reach almost 500 clients - every time. It's a simple way to offer more value to your community and more direct sale opportunities for you. The best part is, you'll get to keep your client contact list after.

I'll work with you during a free 60-minute strategy session to decide which platforms to use and how many accounts to reach to hit your sales goals (to make sure this service is profitable for you).

I'll help you decide when to boost a post or publish an ad to make the most of your account, as well.

Lastly, if you need a Sales Landing Page to make the very most of your SMM, I offer all Social Media Clients $275 their first page (normally $750) and I waive ongoing maintenance fees entirely.

How to say no more often and benefit from it: physically, emotionally, and financially.

This one will be short, sweet, and sales-centric: If you want new followers to be able to find your account *organically,* there are a few steps you can take to help them along: Username: Some people argue that your product or service should be a part of your username, but since there are other sections of your bio that are searchable, I would opt for brand consistency and use the name of your business here. Follow mine at @littledesign.co ! Your name: On Instagram at least, this is different from your username. When you select *Edit Profile,* "Name" comes first and is also a searchable title on Instagram. This is where you want to use your most important keywords. The model I use that works is: Business Name | My Title / Service So mine shows up as "Little Design Co | Social Media Manager • Brand & Web Designer" Keywords are just that: *key .* Take your mind out of your own business and consider what a potential client would actually search when looking for a service or product you offer. The titles that give you the greatest chance of gaining a new client are the ones you want to use here. Your Bio: If you want to not only attract ideal clients, but earn their trust and convince them to take action, this is the place to do it. The model I use that works is: Accomplishment, Certification, or Standard that sets you apart as a legitimate business and expert, an *emoji* that fits your brand, and a hook to draw your client in: Example: Social Media Management, Brand, and Website Design Services from a Hermes Creative Platinum Award Winner ๐Ÿชฉ๐Ÿ What is your business is made of? ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป Your Links: What good does a social media account do for your business if there's no readily available method of taking action on it?? People really won't leave your account to search for your business and then look for it and a way to take action on it often. Some will, but typically not enough to make it worth it. This is where you engage your followers and build connections with them. You can send them to a sales landing page, a click-for-directions google map link, an email newsletter sign up, a sale popup, or you can follow my method of building a page with multiple links to give them options. View mine at: goodkinddesign.org/links Think about what is most important to your clients: Be ready to answer their most common questions Be ready to engage clients who are ready to buy Be ready to persuade clients who need more information This is the bread and butter of Social Media for business. So many companies blow their sales out of the water by following a social media strategy that links their popular content with the link in their bio. It's how they get "$145,000 in one month" from online sales, promoting amazon affiliate links, attracting new clients to their own products and services, etc. Bonus points if you do multiple! My favorite entrepreneurs are the ones who have spent time becoming a true expert in their trade and then offer multiple products and services like: Templates, Courses, and Guides for DIYers Audits and Consultations for people who want professional feedback Done-For-You Service packages for the business owners who want it done well and pain free That's nothing but more opportunities to help other people live the kind of life they're hoping for, and more opportunity to build wealth for you. And that's it! I use this method for most of my social media accounts and it sets me apart as someone who knows what they're doing and someone who can be trusted to help you, as well. I want your clients to see you the same way.
